INGREDIENTS:
- Semolina(Rawa/Sooji)-1 cup.
- Refined flour(maida)- 1tbsp.
- Red chili powder-1/4 tsp.
- Nigella seeds(Kala jeera)-1 tsp. *Optional
- Salt to taste.
- Oil for deep frying + 1 tsp.
Method:
- Take a big bowl,add all the ingredients with 1 tsp oil,mix well.Then add water little by little to make a stiff dough.Cover it with a wet cloth & leave it for 10-20 min.
- Divide it into equal sized balls & roll into rotis (use flour for dusting),then cut it out using any lid & using a fork,prick holes all over the circle to prevent from puffing.
- Heat sufficient oil in a wok,deep fry the papdi in batches,fry until both the sides are golden brown.Remove from oil,drain it in paper towel.
- "Papdi" is ready.when it cool down,store it in a air tight jar.
