Ambula Bhendi Khatta(okra in dry mango gravy)......
INGREDIENTS:
Bhendi/okra/ladies finger-15-20.
Dry mango(ambula)-2.
- Mixed paste (1-onion.8-garlic cloves,1-piece of ginger,1+1/2 tsp mustard seeds,4-red chili )-3 tsp.
- Turmeric powder-1 tsp.
- Mustard oil-4-5 tsp.
- Salt to taste.

- Wash & clean the bhendi,cut it into big size pieces.Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan,fry the bhendi to avoid stickiness without changing its beautiful green color & keep aside..
- Add 3 tsp Mustard oil in a pan,add cumin seed.When it start spluttering ,add mixed paste,turmeric powder,salt stir for 40 sec.
- Then add fried bhindi & 1/2 cup water.Let the gravy boil 5 min or ladies finger soft,then add dry mango & cook for another 1 min,remove from fire.
- "Ambula bhendi" is ready to serve...serve hot with rice....
