Palak(spinach) is one of the favourite leafy vegetables in every indian households. They use the versatile palak in a variety of preparations such as raita, gravy,pakoda,soup....
INGREDIENTS:
Finely Chopped palak-1 cup.
Gram flour(besan)-1 cup.
Chopped green chili-2(optional).
Chopped coriander leaves-1 tsp.
Chopped curry leaves-5-10 leaf.
Chopped onion-1(optional).
Chaat masala-1 tsp(optional).
Roasted Cumin powder-1 tsp.
Roasted red chili powder-1 tsp.
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp.
Eno fruit salt-1/2 tsp.
Oil for deep fry.
Salt to taste.
PREPARATION:
Palak pakoda
Take a bowl,add gram flour,chopped palak,Chopped coriander leaves,Chopped curry leaves
,red chili powder,cumin powder,cumin seeds,Chopped green chili,salt & eno with water.mix well to avoid lumps & make a batter is thick enough.
Heat sufficient oil in a pan for deep fry,drop small clumps of batter into the oil,fry the pakodas till they become golden brown in color all around.
Drain & place them on an absorbent paper/tissue paper.
Sprinkle some chaat masala over it.
"Palak pakoda"is ready to serve.Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
