This recipe is very good,easy & nutritious....This is a typical odia recipe.Try it in home...I m sure,u will definitely love it... :)
INGREDIENTS:
- Finely Chopped palak-1 cup.
- Potato-2 medium size(wash,peel & cut into cube shape).
- Brinjal-1(cut into cube shape).
- French beans-1/2 cup.
- White radish-1.
- Vadi-2-3
- Green peas(optional).
- Mixed paste(1-onion,8-garlic cloves,1 piece of ginger,some cumin seeds,3-red chili)-2 tsp.
- Phutana(cumin seed+mustard seed+fenugreek seed)-1/2 tsp.
- Some chopped coriander leaves.
- Turmeric powder-1 tsp.
- Mustard oil-5-6 tsp.
- Salt to taste.
PREPARATION:
- Heat the pan,add 2 tsp mustard oil,fry the potato,brinjal,french beans,white radish,green peas(optional) till golden brown & keep aside.
- Again add 1 tsp mustard oil in pan,add phul vadi,fry it till golden brown & keep aside.
- Add 3 tsp mustard oil,then add phutana. When it start spluttering ,add 2 tsp mixed paste,turmeric powder,salt stir for 1 min.
- Then add fried potato,brinjal,french beans,white radish,green peas,sliced green chili,stir until the raw smell of mixed masala go.
- Add 1 cup of water,let the gravy boil for 5-10 min.
- Add chopped palak(spinach),phul vadi in this gravy,boiled it for 3 min.Garnish it with coriander leaves.
- "Spinach curry"(palang saag tarkari)is ready to serve.Serve it with steamed rice
