Amba khatta....
INGREDIENTS:
- Green mangoes-3-4.
- Red chili-2.
- Phutana(cumin seed+mustard seed+fenugreek seed)-1/2 tsp.
Chopped Ginger-2 tsp.
Sugar/grated Jaggery-2 tsp.
Roasted Red chili powder-1 tsp.
Roasted cumin powder-1 tsp.
- Curry leaves-10-12.
- Mustard oil-1 tsp.
- Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp.
- Shredded coconut-1 tsp.(for garnishing)
- Salt to taste.
PREPARATION:
- Wash the mango,cut into small small square pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan,add broken red chili,phutana,let it crackle,then add chopped ginger,curry leaves,saute it for a few second.
- Add mango,turmeric powder,salt stir it,then add 1 cup water.
- Cover it with a lid & allow it to boil 5-7 min in low flame.
- Open the lid,add sugar/jaggery,let it boil 2-3 min.
*u can add more if u want more sweetness.
- Then add roasted red chili powder & cumin powder,mix it properly.
- Delicious "Amba katha" is ready to serve.
