Kandamula katha is a delicious odia recipe....In puja/brata many type of khata(chutney) is made in home...kandamula katha is one of them..Usally kandamula katha is offered to lord Jaganath in mahaprasad menu..Normally u made tomato katha..so try this new & different varieties...i m sure u will definitely love it... i learn this recipe from my mom...so thank u mom....only for u i can add this recipe in my blog spot .....
*Serves-2-3 person
INGREDIENTS:
Kandamula(sweet potato)-1-2.
Tentuli rasa(tamarind juice)-3 tsp.
Mustard-1 tsp.
Chopped Ginger-2 tsp.
Sugar-2 tsp.
Red chili-2.
- Curry leaves-10-12.
- Refined oil-1 tsp.
- Salt to taste.
PREPARATION:
- Wash the kandamula,cut into small small square pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan,add broken red chili,mustard seeds,let it crackle,then add chopped ginger,curry leaves,saute it for a few second.
- Add kandamula,turmeric powder,salt stir it,then add 1/2 cup water.
- Cover it with a lid & allow it to boil 5-7 min in low flame.
- Open the lid,add tamarind juice & sugar,let it boil 2-3 min.
- Delicious "Kandamula katha" is ready to serve.
