Tomato rice....

I love to eat tomato dishes...when i was in odisha ,my mother usually do tomato katha,tomato bharta...but i always want to taste new tomato recipe...after marriage i come to chennai...here they generally made different verities of rice....Tomato rice is one of them..here i learn how to made tomato rice..& sharing the recipe of tomato rice..its very easy recipe...sooooooooo lets go to learn.... 

INGREDIENTS:


  • Boiled rice-1+1/2 cup.
  • Juice tomato-4.
  • Chopped Onion(medium size)-2.
  • Green chili-2.
  • Ginger+garlic paste-1 tsp.
  • Chili powder-1 tsp.
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp.
  • Oil-2 tsp.
  • Hing-1/4 tsp.
  • Curry leaves-10-12.
  • Mustard seed-1 tsp.
  • Salt to taste.

PREPARATION:


  • Make tomato puree & keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,when it start spluttering,add hing &curry leaves.
  • Add chopped onion,saute it till golden brown in color.Then add green chili,ginger -garlic paste,stir it 2-3 min.
  • Then add tomato puree+turmeric powder+chili powder+salt,cook till oil separate.
  • Add the cooked rice to the tomato gravy & mix well.
  • Serve hot with papad/raita/salad.Smiley
