Bhindi do pyaza...

"Bhindi Do Pyaza" is a north Indian dish..Its a delicious vegetable preparation made with a double quantity of onions as the amount of ladies fingers..

INGREDIENTS:

  • Bhindi(Ladies finger/okra)-200 gm.
  • Chopped Onion-4

    (medium size)

    .
  • Chopped tomato-2(medium size).

  • Ginger-garlic paste-2 tsp.
  • Red chili powder-1 tsp.

  • Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp.

  • Turmeric powder-1 tsp.

  • Coriander powder-1 tsp.

  • Kasturi methi-1/2 tsp.

  • Hing-1/2 tsp.(optional)

  • Sugar-1/4 tsp.

  • Coriander leaves-2 tsp.

  • Garam masala-1/2 tsp.

  • Refined oil-3 tbsp.

  • Salt to taste.

PREPARATION:

Bhindi do pyaza...

  • Wash & clean the bhendi,cut it into big size pieces.Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan,fry the bhendi to avoid stickiness without changing its beautiful green color & keep aside...
  • Heat oil in the same pan,add sugar,add cumin seed,when it crackle,add ginger-garlic paste,red chili powder,turmeric powder,coriander powder,kasturi methi,stir it till raw smell goes.
  • Then add chopped onion,tomato,stir till onion turns golden brown in color.add fried bhendi & mix it well,add 1/4 cup of water,cook for 3-4 min/till the bhindi cooked.Garnish with coriander leaves..
  • "Bhendi do pyaza" is ready to serve..enjoy..:)...
